It was time.

Once T’Ria had accepted the assignment on Meridian, she had been inundated with data to pour through, protocols to memorize, all the ins and outs of what her new home would entail for at least the next two years. It felt somewhat like an escape, now, after what happened 6 days ago. All of the agencies that might know anything about her mate were comms silent. One particularly acerbic liaison even attempted to gaslight her by telling her to be evaluated by a Vulcan healer since obviously all of it was in her head, in essence. They were not technically incorrect; however, it was quite dismissive. That was her people, though. It wasn’t any surprise that fostering relationships with other species tended to occur on a personal level before anything else. Vulcans—as a whole—were often rather insufferable. Even she recognized that.

It had taken a short shuttle ride to get to Starbase 1. It was a hulking structure, and T’Ria studied it out of the small viewport considering what it would look like completely finished and flourishing with ‘life.’ Humanity truly was a rather exceptional species. Perhaps it was their shortened lifespans, but they had achieved more in a generation than Vulcan had in hundreds of years. They were passionate, driven beings, often prone to irrationality (in her opinion), but they were also brave, and intelligent, and so curious. It was their innate curiosity that was a common ground for her. If it could only be tempered with patience…well, now she was thinking in hypotheticals that had no basis in reality.

Once the shuttle craft docked at the still under construction starbase, T’Ria began the process of accounting for and gathering up a good number of crates along with a sea bag slung over her shoulder that held her personal affects. The crates, meanwhile, and there was a good number of them, were filled with medical supplies and equipment. Without knowing that however, it looked like T’Ria had packed everything she had ever owned to bring aboard.

The crates got packed on a maglev and ushered off to Meridian by staff that looked at her rather sharply for the amount she was traveling with, and T’Ria was left with her sea bag unsure of what to do now. With the station operating at barebones status at the moment there were many areas that were not yet open to the public. That included a number of public spaces that no doubt would be quite an engaging sight once completed. It was logical to head towards the ship, then.

There was a MACO on duty, standing watch at the gangway connecting the ship to the station, and she provided her credentials and was cleared without much ‘fuss.’ Thankful for all of the on boarding information, T’Ria didn’t find it difficult to get to E deck and locate sick bay. There was no one currently in the space, and that was preferable. She wanted to take some time to familiarize herself with what was to be her sphere of influence, essentially, on her own. Already her mind was making alterations in how items were stored, and where equipment was currently housed that would be more efficient in her mind. However, acting on these plans would have to wait for later. The next step was to find the quartermaster and obtain her berthing. Once her gear was stowed, T’Ria would formally report in, and then…Her mind carried on creating a mental list for all of the things she wanted to accomplish. It kept her mind busy—and distracted—which was preferable.
