Mission: Trillius Prime
Location: Various Locations

The crew of the Meridian found themselves engaged with the two smaller pirate ships that came from behind the moon. Still adrift the main ship was simply unable to join the fight while being raided by the MACOs. That was the good news, but on another note these smaller ships were small, agile and well coordinate. Probably due to years of experience working together. What the ships lacked in firepower, they made up for with not being so easy to hit.

"These guys are definitely slippery," Douglasdale spoke from the helm. "Hard to keep up with their movements."

Sitting in the center chair, Andre watched as the L'Dira continued to take shots at the Meridian. Their intention was clearly to disable the Meridian. "Evasive maneuvers. They're trying to take out our engines."

"Captain getting damage reports from deck four and seven," Baxter reported.

"Get damage control to those decks," the Captain shouted over the sound of the ship taking another hit. "Thomas focus on one of those ships and take those bastards out."

[Engineering]

Plaatjes hissed in frustration as the ship rocked around him. Gripping on to the console to prevent himself from falling over, the engineer did his best to keep the systems functioning. Of most concern to him were the new shield systems. 'Captain, our shields are taking a hell of a beating!' he cried, opening the comm, 'can't guarantee they won't hold out for long!'

This was definitely a wrench thrown into his plans. As long as the MACOs were over there, running wasn't an option. "What percentage are the shields at currently?"

'If the converter from Andorian is working correctly ... around seventy per cent right now,' Plaatjes responded grimly. 'I can try re-routing power from less critical systems for now. If they go under fifty, I'll have to draw from life support.' He shrugged to himself, it wasn't ideal, but he could keep them alive long enough. 'Do I have your permission?' he asked, grabbing the engineering console again as the ship rocked under fire.

"Make it happen Chief," Hunt ordered. "Emily bring us towards that ship right there full speed ahead. On mark roll the ship hard. Thomas, at that time you hit them with a full spread of torpedos."

"Aye sir." As instructed, the Warrant Officer laid in a direct course towards the pirate ship. The second ship fired on the Meridian doing its best to slow them down. But the shields being drained still held.

"Now!!!"

The Meridian turned and jolted as the helm officer, brought the starship underneath the exposed underbelly of the pirate ship. Figuring out the last minute strategy, the pirate ship attempted to veer right but it was too late for that course of action.

The pirate ship suffered several explosions to its under belly. Though taking heavy damage, the ship wasn't quite out of the fight for good. But the other ship on the underhand, stayed on the Meridian and took full advantage of the roll which exposed the Starfleet vessel briefly. A couple of panels exploded and the lights began flashing off and on around the bridge.

"Captain we minor haul breeches on decks five, six and seven," Baxter reported. "Reports of a few injures on those decks. Sickbay has been alerted and expecting incoming."

Hunt sighed as he watched the pirate turning around to make another pass at them. And was only a matter of time, that the other ship would be back in the fight. Thinking of the next available move, he was interrupted by a female voice.

"Two Trill patrol ships, just dropped out of warp." Emily announced.

"Their timing could be better," Captain responded as he began to relax a bit in his chair.

The patrol quickly double teamed the ship that was on the verge of doubling back on the Meridian. It didn't take long for that ship to end up dead in the water. Captain Hunt was about to give them order to take out the other ship, when Baxter spoke up.

"Sir, the Captain of the other ship has offered their unconditional surrender. And now the other ship as well. Got the MACOs returning back as well."

"Sounds like things are working out all at once," Emily brought up.

As the alert levels began decreasing, Plaatjes breathed a sigh of relief. Updates were coming in from all over the ship calling for assistance. Frowning, he saw they were in for a long few hours of patching the ship up. He stretched, trying to get his lower spine to crack, and went about dispatching teams to the highest priority areas. After a few minutes, he was deep in his task.
